Overall a great regatta even though the wind and regatta planning didn’t align. ex World Champion Jon Newman showed he is still on top. Thor again fast and consistent. AST sailor Will Phillips sailed brilliantly on day 1 and found the racing really relevant to his Olympic training. Day 1 The wind on the course

Musto Nationals are 11th – 13th March 2017 at FSC (note weekend after WA march long weekend). The plan is for those going to the Palma Worlds, a container will be packed after the regatta.

Day 4, race 8, 9 and 10. Today it was it was big Thursday. Jon Newman got 3 first and is already World Champion with 2 races to go. In the top ten it is still extremely excited!! Between number 2 and number 7 there’s only 13 points difference. So another big day to go.

The second day started with discussions about the weather. There were 2 forecast, one said it’s going to blow like a normal sea breeze, the other said it wasn’t. In the end of the day, both were right. It started with a +20 knots race, then a 9 knots race and then about 15 knots
